Rant from Canada

<$BlogDateHeaderDate$>
I was checking out my Technorati Links and saw that a blog, Moving in the margins, had posted A rant about my blog. I've gotten some negative feedback before and took it very hard, but this one just had me giggling. The guy doesn't really have many valid points. Those that he does have, he smothers with junk. The point that I got from this was that he didn't like my face being plastered all over my blog. This guy has some issues.

First of all just looking at one of the older posts excerpted on his website, he talks about listening over his satellite radio as the verdict of the Scott Peterson trial came in. Are you serious? Dude, first of all this guy is 1/10 as interesting as OJ Simpson. Really now, do you guys feed each other during your lunch breaks too?
In my defense, I'm the only one in the office with a radio and a few co-workers asked me to turn it to CNN to listen in on the verdict. Peterson was actually in the national news down here in the states.
His name as he refers to himself is Lewis E. Moten III. You have to really think a lot of yourself to walk around <snip> or include your middle initial in your name. I know Coach Carter, and you my friend are no Coach Carter. And even he wouldn't add 'III' to the end of his name on top of including a middle initial, and he's RICH. Nobody cares about your grandfather who worked at the glue factory.
Actually, I'm ignorant as to what my grandfather did for a living. As far as the name thing - tough.
He also refers to himself as Lewie, quite possibly the gayest version of a cutesy nickname I've ever heard of in my life.
My grand ma always called me "Lewie" and it just feels friendly to me. I'm not going to change it for anything.
Every post of his contains a terribly frightening webcam shot of his goblin-like head, attempting to convey some degree of emotion that comes across as half-child molester, half-used car salesman. The Gwyneth Paltrow's dad in Shallow Hal look isn't exactly something to aspire to.
That's funny. I was trying to make my blog have more of a personal touch. Most of the pictures were just me smiling. I made a hundred of them so that they would have a less of a chance to show up twice between two posts. It gets really boring trying to do so many and I had to spice it up.
The wife named 'Angel' is too easy.
What is with you and these problems with names?
On top of having a cat, posting about his cat, this prophet to the south is doing quizzes about what kind of cat he has. Now he thinks he has the persona of a cat which is partly true. I can see him licking the pizza pop stains off his novelty t-shirt, but I doubt he's all over town getting gangbanged during the night.
Hmm... I actually have 9 cats (just in case that 9 lives thing doesn't work out). As far as the quizzes go, I didn't do any about what kind of cat I have, just what kind of cat my personality matches best with (I am a rag doll).
He made his own background of more facial shots than I'm sure he's only witnessed on the internet.
As my wife would say, "It's definitely a Lewie thing". I admit that it is a bit too much to have my mug plastered all over my site, but hey - it is my site after all. If you don't like it, just change the template.
He revealed he was ever into the Danish group Aqua. Most say worst fad ever. On top of that we learn it was inspiration for him to design a Winamp skin. And you wonder why the radio sucks.
I see no problems here. The Winamp skin looked pretty cool at the time. Yea, Aqua was a fad, but it was a good one while it lasted. I can't see how I am the reason why your radio sucks.
He seems compelled on gaining popularity through his blog, pretty much just for the sake of it. Dude, honestly, go outside and talk to somebody.
You got me there. I'm a social clam. I wouldn't have found your rant otherwise. (Thanks for the link)
He has links to a cornucopia of lameness, including a link to an Arsenal blog. Durst squared.
What's so bad about football?
Admits to reading blog profiles for 6 hours straight! It's depressing to think about the amount of food needed to keep this beast of a man in front of his computer everyday.
Hmm... It wasn't just the profiles. I was looking for new blogs and gaining popularity by leaving feedback about them. The popularity score helps me out on the network over there. As far as food goes, you make too many assumptions.
And last but certainly not least (this could go on forever) is how I came upon this <snip> in the first place, courtesy of the awesome, undisputed king of blogs 1115.org, who discovered the pic of Corky here that pretty much explains everything you need to know about the type of genius 'Lewie' really is.
Looking at what that guy says on 1115.org is crazy. I am not a Republican. I try not to comment on political issues. I did like the issue of Iraqis voting and wanted to express my support of Iraq voting, and the United States as a whole (not just Mr. Bush) was able to pull it off. From what I understand, the Iraqis have voted in a new administration that Bush probably wouldn't like to have happen. Kudos to them - they got what they wanted. As long as the people are in agreement with what they have, I think it's great.
